Well since I just got on ship I'm going to find a nice quiet place to relax in the sun.

purrring like a cat

and sewing on my costume

Maybe it's a little dusty, but it's not forgotten.

I've continued updating the software framework as new releases have come out, so you may notice some minor differences as you go along.

Wow Tom! This sure looked like a really awesome roundup. Unfortuantely, it seems no one has used the site in awhile.
I am hoping to change that!

This website seems to be forgotten. I am trying to edit users and get it going again. Who is with me?

Hello Wenches!

I stopped by to let you all know about our HUGE prize giveaway for the month of November in our 28k Project:

Click to see original Image in a new window

That's right, our fine friends at Gen Con have donated a VIG Package for 2011. That's a $500 value, for those who don't already know.

"Okay...gimme. No, really. I want that VIG Package. How do I get it?"

That, my lady, is easily answered. The VIG Package is our prize for November in our 28k Project. What's the 28k Project? It's simple: we're trying to gather A) 28,000 hours of volunteer work, performed by normal people in their own neighborhoods, and logged on our website, and B) stories of your volunteer work.

And it's the stories that win prizes. All you have to do is submit your story of volunteer work you've done...from any time, any place (must be sumbitted this month). Your story then goes into competition with the other stories submitted. Website visitors can cast a vote every day for their favorite story that month. The story with the most votes wins. Easy enough?

"Why yes. I do some volunteer work. But what kind is acceptable for a story submission?"

Any kind of volunteeer work, to answer your question. We've had stories submitted by people who've done work for Kiwanis, the Salvation Army, Dog Rescues, their local church, and of course with us, GfH. No favoritism, though. Any website visitor can vote.

To enter: come to our website and submit your story. Done.

We also have two volunteers currently being voted on, with a prize of two 4-day badges to Gen Con 2011. Feel free to stop by the 28k Project's main page and cast your vote, show your appreciation.

Let me know if you have any questions. We'd love to ramp up the participation in the 28k Project, and Wenches would be perfect!

Peace.

Tom J

I see some new faces over here that I might not recognize over on the main GenCon forums site so I thought I would post this link here if you don't go there to see what we're up to this year. Any questions/corrections/addendums/praise/adoration/snark/etc., feel free to throw my way.

Welcome,

We unfortunately do not use these boards near like we should-- we usually all meet on the GC boards--

We have a private board that you can have access to if you meet 2 criteria:
must be female
must be 18 years of age
must have 10 posts on the GC forums anywhere

Looking forward to seeing you over there...

We are so glad you could make it to the seminar!! I am very glad you don't feel alone out there. That is the great thing about the Wenches, even though we are often times far in distance we know we are there for each other! If you haven't already think about joining us at the GenCon online forums!

I wanted to say thank you to the Gamer Wenches for hosting the Women in Gaming seminar at GenCon. It was a good discussion and made me feel like I wasn't alone.
